    Why work for the Low Carbon Contracts Company?

    What we do:

    • LCCC was established in 2014 to be the counterparty to Contracts for Difference (CFDs), which are contracts allocated under the government’s CFD scheme to provide support to large scale, low carbon electricity generation. We are also responsible for managing payments to reliable capacity providers under the Capacity Market scheme on behalf of our sister company, Electricity Settlements Company (ESC).Both of these are regulatory roles that contribute to the government’s objective of “ensuring that the country has secure energy supplies that are reliable, affordable and clean”.
