Posted 23.02.2024
We have published an updated version of the Guidance document to support applications for Minor and Necessary Modifications to contracts in the upcoming Allocation Round 6 of the Contract for Difference scheme.
Key Points:
- Introduction and Application: The guidance is for applicants seeking Minor and Necessary (M&N) Modifications to the standard Contract for Difference (CfD) terms during the allocation round. It outlines the application process and the necessary information required for LCCC to assess the modifications.
- Timeframe: The document specifies the timeframe for submitting modification applications, emphasising the importance of early submission to allow time for any additional information requests by LCCC.
- Description of Process: It details the process for applying for M&N Modifications, including the form and information to be provided, such as project details, the specific clauses affected, and the justification for the changes being minor and necessary.
- Evaluation and Response: The guidance explains how LCCC will evaluate the applications and the procedure for notifying applicants of the acceptance or refusal of their requested modifications.
Updates: The March 2024 version of the document includes updates to the application timeframe, reflecting the specific dates and deadlines for the 6th allocation round. It also provides clarity on the definition of a working day in the context of the application process and emphasises the consequences of late or insufficiently detailed applications.
Additionally, the document has been updated to reflect the latest regulatory requirements and LCCC’s rights to request further information or reconsider evidence provided by applicants.
