Start Date Guidance

The document provides guidance on the process for setting the Start Date for Contracts for Difference (CfD) and the conditions that must be met.
Generators cannot receive payments under the CfD until after the Start Date, and they must notify the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) of their Project’s Start Date within specified time parameters.
For Biomass Conversion projects with a State Aid Condition Precedent that has not yet been fulfilled, the document also covers the Conditional Start Date provisions.
The document includes templates for Start Date Notices and Directors’ Certificates, which are required for the Start Date process.
