The indicative timeline for Allocation Round 7 (AR7) of the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme has now been published on the CfD Allocation Round website.

Applications for AR7 are expected to open in August 2025, with results anticipated from late 2025 to early 2026.

As the administrator of the CfD scheme, Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC) supports the delivery of this key Government mechanism to encourage investment in low-carbon electricity generation.

For the first time, separate timelines have been provided for offshore wind and non-offshore wind technologies, helping ensure results can be confirmed as efficiently as possible.
