The Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) has published its response to the consultation on Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC)’s and Electricity Settlements Company (ESC)’s proposed 2021/22 operational cost budgets and levies.
Following BEIS’ analysis of the consultation responses, no amendments to the proposed budgets are required. However, LCCC and ESC’s operational costs have been amended to reflect the pay pause announced in the 2020 Spending Review.
The levy rate for 2021-22 is £0.0760/MWh.
The full Government Response document, which summarises the feedback received and sets out the government’s response to the points raised, is available here: LCCC and ESC operational costs 2021-22: Government Response.
