Today, we launch our refreshed brand identity, a modern and digital-first brand that reflects who we are and what we stand for, as we begin a new decade of delivery.

As the organisation behind the Contracts for Difference (CfD) scheme, LCCC plays a vital role in supporting the UK’s journey to Net Zero. Since 2014, CfD has driven investment in 39GW of renewable and low carbon generation including Nuclear, with 9.1 GW currently operational. In 2022 alone, projects supported through CfD generated enough energy to power 7 million homes and prevented over 5.8 million tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Our role extends beyond CfD, currently evidenced by 12 technologies being supported and over £61 billion in investment facilitated. We also maintain the security of the UK's energy supply through the Capacity Market, keeping the lights on during periods of peak demand or unpredictable weather. We are also driving forward new schemes such as Hydrogen and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) – evidenced by the signing of Hydrogen Production Contracts, the Dispatchable Power Agreement and the Net Zero Teesside CCUS project.

More than just a new look, our brand represents our mission, ambition, expertise, and commitment to accelerating the delivery of Net Zero. In the fast-moving energy landscape, the LCCC has a pivotal role to play as we approach the 2030 clean power target. Our brand needs to be clear, recognisable and impactful, driving effective engagement with stakeholders and attracting the talent that will help us achieve our mission as we grow and diversify.

The evolution of our brand strengthens how we communicate, ensuring we are ready to meet the challenges ahead.
